Quick Tips to Take Better Inventory Photos

Quick tips

It is so important, now more than ever, for dealers to differentiate themselves from their competition. Car shoppers are going online and using every available resource to find the best fit for them.

That is why it is vital to not let bad photos scare off potential customers. Taking great-looking photos doesn’t have to be a daunting task, though. Zach Doell points out that you can take great photos with your iPhone. Putting a little extra thought into the shoot can really bring out great results that will catch consumers’ attention. Try these 7 tips from Desmond Louw over at Digital Photography School if you’re looking to take your photography game to the next level.

Here are a few quick tips to get you started:

  1. Keep distractions to a minimum – the photo should be all about the vehicle you’re selling, nothing else.
  2. Shoot at the right time of day – early morning and sunset will give you the most even lighting if you’re shooting outdoors.
  3. Pay attention to reflections – it’s easy to forget about the details when you’re composing a shot, but take a minute to make sure there aren’t any distracting glare or reflections that would take away from the impact of the vehicle.

Combine some great photos with an engaging 360 spin, and you’re in business!
